Water health / method

Treat the reading, not the colour.

Clear-looking water can still be out of balance. Dull water can have more than one cause. Testing narrows the work.

Read. Dose. Recheck.

Blue Ledger's fictional workflow separates observation from action. The record should show the readings used, what was added and anything that needs follow-up.

  • Test with maintained equipment
  • Consider recent rain and swimmer load
  • Review sanitation and balance together
  • Avoid unrecorded blanket dosing
  • Escalate persistent drift to equipment checks
What readings can reveal
01

Fast chlorine loss

Could point to sunlight, contamination, high demand, insufficient output or a combination.

02

Repeated pH drift

May require a look at total alkalinity, aeration, dosing method and the pool's normal behaviour.

03

Clouding or scale

Water balance, filtration, circulation and suspended material all belong in the diagnosis.
